Seventh-grader and environmental activist Willow Phelps has previously spoken out on the need for sustainable families to ensure a sustainable future. She joined the NYC Climate March this past summer and is a plaintiff in a lawsuit asserting our constitutional right to nature. She has also urged the Surfrider Foundation to encourage families to protect the planet.
Recently, Willow wrote to activist Greta Thunberg asking her to bring attention to the topic of the connection between sustainability and family planning. Better family planning is the most fundamental and effective way to protect people, the environment, and our shared future.
