States enact policies that ignore that needs of children and their future, and enable businesses to behave in ways that put profits before the wellbeing of people and the planet.

 

Our Solution

We’re calling on the state to make equity the baseline for all policy—whether in lawsuits, reparations, AI, or baby bonds—so every obligation measurably empowers people and prevents injustice.

SMART Goals by 2026

  • Specific Goal: Legal submission to Authorities.

    • Goal: By December/2026, submit formal petition or legal communications to the California Attorney General’s office and the Indian National Human Rights Commission, urging them to investigate and respond to institutional omissions of equity protections at birth.

    Specific Goal; Public admissions and institutions Accountability.

    • Goal: By February/ 2026, Securing at least 6 public admissions or policy commitments ( 3 in California, 3 in India) from organizations or government – affiliated actors acknowledging failure to provide minimum functional protections at birth and committing to future reform.

    Specific Goal: launch Binational Awareness campaign

    • Goal: By April 2026, Launch a Binational digital and grassroots campaign titled “Equity starts at Birth” engaging 2000000 people across platforms in both India and California through videos, infographics, webinars, blogs, and local dialogues.

Specific Goal: Establish Equity based certification pilots.

  • Goal: By June/2026, enroll at least 4 institutions ( 2 in California, 2 in India) in a pilot Fair Start certification program requiring them to disclose their origins , make admissions and implement restorative equity reforms in child and environmental policy.

Specific Goal: Build legal and grassroots teams.

  • Goal: By December/2025, Recruiting and training 40 grassroots partners ( 20 in California, 20 in India) to serve as local equity advocates responsible for community outreach, legal monitoring, organizing public events and assisting in policy lobbying.
