Animals are feeling, thinking beings — yet millions live in suffering within factory farms and exploitative systems that also harm our climate and communities.

Birth Equity: Every Child Deserves a Fair Start
Every parent deserves the chance to welcome their child into safety and dignity. Yet too many families in Colorado still face barriers to fair and healthy births.
- Rural communities in Colorado face critical care gaps — about one-third of rural counties have no hospital offering labor and delivery services.
- Maternal mortality rates have risen statewide, with disproportionate impacts on Black, Indigenous, and Latina women.
- Environmental pollution from industrial agriculture can increase pregnancy risks, especially for low-income and frontline communities.
Global Connection: From Colorado to Africa
Colorado faces birth equity and animal protection challenges similar to Africa’s, influenced by inequities in care and systemic barriers. Community-based solutions and strengthened protections can create healthier environments for women and children.
