What is it you're looking for?

The wealthiest and the charities they fund want to pretend the world was always meant to look like a massive shopping mall, and that climate damages should be evaluated on that basis. The truth is human rights guaranteed functional town halls in biodiverse nature. That is what was lost. That is how we measure the harm.

While charities were touting the benefits of saving a particular forest, ending certain diseases, or enlarging cages for laying hens, they were also ignoring the growth-based economic systems that were enriching their largest billionaire funders. Those same growth-based systems have undone three quarters of the climate crisis mitigation attempts made over the last several years.

That growth, from which these charities and their funders profited, now threatens millions of lives. That growth will cause more animal suffering and ecocide than many of the myopic, window-dressing campaigns these organizations ran and used for fundraising actually prevented.

Now those same funders and their charities are trying to evade liability for the harm they caused by skewing the baseline for climate reparations, and ignoring the most fundamental human right – the right to a fair start in life, and climate restoration via birth equity.

The wealthiest and the charities want to pretend the world was always meant to look like a massive shopping mall, and that climate damages should be evaluated on that basis. The truth is human rights guaranteed functional town halls in biodiverse nature. That is what was lost. That is how we measure the harm.

They are instead using their wealth to create a fake crisis, with Elon Musk – the poster child for an unfair start in life – funding the idea of underpopulation as the real threat to all. Women are not breeding enough consumers and cheap labor for his factories.

But if the basic condition for any rule is that it be fair, and the first rule is that which accounts for our creation and development, e.g. the right of parents to freely have kids, then that rule must be made fair. And fairness begins with all children’s rights to a restored climate and ecosocial birth equity – true relative self-determination.

That is the fundamental baseline for climate compensation and for greenwashing, humane washing, and rights washing – which gears off the most vulnerable, whose interests are aligned against the wealthiest. How can there be any human rights when we start everything, we do with a creation norm that does nothing to protect the most vulnerable? The system that allowed this child to be tortured to death, three-quarters of climate mitigation to fail. or the demand for animal products to soon double, is based on coercive power relation protecting and producing the cost-externalized wealth of a handful of persons. All of that could have been avoided had we used that wealth to entitle parental readiness and a long-run goal of nations taking seriously the self-determination of its citizens, demonstrated by the constant capacity to break into functional constitutional conventions. Instead that handful of persons chose unsustainable economic growth that created billions of disenfranchised citizens who – through decades of bad family policy – were treated more like a conveyor belt of consumers, cheap labor and uneducated taxpayers than influential members of a democracy with a vested interest in the nation.

And we need not wait for governments to recognize and fix the issue. Many are using the correct baseline to cover effective reparations already.

Why don’t we have to wait?

Free people will condition compliance with the law on their being fundamentally empowered by it, and that’s physically impossible without treating an ecosicial fair start in life as the first and overriding human right, a right that includes actual participation in governance – being created for town halls, not shopping malls. Governments cannot assign property rights – to Musk or others – without first ensuring the human rights that justify governmental authority.

Today’s freedom fighters move beyond the outdated idea of national borders and fight for fundamentally liberating family policies that free us all ensuring climate and biodiversity restoration through birth equity entitlements that ensure parenting delay, a level playing field for all kids, and smaller or more eco-centric families.

That leads to the freedom political theorists have envisioned, but never realized because they were focused on how we should act rather than who we should be.

TAKE ACTION: URGE THE UN TO NOT ALLOW BILLIONAIRES AND THE FRONT CHARITIES THEY FUNDED TO SKEW THE BASELINE FOR CLIMATE REPARATIONS. THEY BENEFITTED AT COST TO OTHERS, AND THAT COST WAS MASSIVE AND MUST BE PAID BACK.
